А трансфер? Вроде ты же сказал, что епонцы и звук и видео переделали! Получается и тут должно быть лучше?

На японском наверняка меню только японское.

ну не факт, что лучше.
у епонцев видео в AVC против амеровского устаревшего MPEG2.
а звук думаю одинаковый, у японцев TrueHD, у амеров PCM.
я лично если бы не взял себе американца в январе, взял бы япошку. Т.к. бонусы для меня не очень интересны.

о картинке, она хорошая, но придраться всегжа можно (подчеркнуты на мой взгляд не самые объективные замечания, который относятся к фильму и съемкам в целом, а не к трансферу диска):
Well, okay, maybe I'm not so speechless. 'Resident Evil: Apocalypse' does have an upside in this vibrant, 50GB dual layered MPEG-2 transfer that makes the film colorful to say the least. Black levels provide nice depth (although they're hampered by a reliance on blue filtering light), flames lick across the air with bright orange and red delight, and an overblown (but measured) contrast makes the images pop to life with a crisp sharpness that shows off your new 1080p display.

Unfortunately, the picture is so immersed in its unnatural palette that a lot of the on screen objects lose a convincing level of dimension -- constantly reminding methat I was watching a live action videogame. This is the kind of disc that would make for a great side-by-side comparison in the middle of Best Buy to help convince Mom & Pop that high-def is the wave of the future, but it just doesn't cut it for my home theater.

For fans of the film, the image looks nice but occasionally suffers from source noise in the backgrounds. Otherwise, the print is clean and unblemished throughout. Sadly, an above average (if not overproduced) visual experience can't save the film from looking bad, no matter what format you view it in. Like the standard-def DVD, the CG stands out like a democrat in Texas and almost seems hand drawn at times. Tentacles and fully-rendered beasts are the worst offenders, followed by enhanced zombie gore and human elements respectively. The high-def transfer made the disorienting disconnect between each natural shot and its imposed effect much more noticeable.

A Trio of Westerns Come to Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that a trio western films are being released on Blu-ray, all due to hit store shelves on June 10th, just in time for Father's Day. First up is the 1966 Burt Lancaster film 'The Professionals'. Video will be presented as 2.35:1 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Extras include three featurettes ("The Professionals - A Classic", "Burt Lancaster: A Portrait", and "Memories from The Professionals").

Next is the Ron Howard directed film 'The Missing' staring Tommy Lee Jones. Video will be presented as 2.40:1 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Extras include three Short Films of Ron Howard, three alternate endings, 11 deleted scenes, 11 behind-the-scenes featurettes, photo gallery, blooper reel, and bonus trailers.

Finally, the Robert Duvall film 'Broken Trail' will also be released on Blu-ray. Video will be presented as 1.78:1 1080p AVC and feature a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. It will be released in its unrated form and the sole extra will be a "Making of Broken Trail - The Making of a Legendary Western" featurette.

Обойдусь Амерыканским BD боксом. Удлинённой версии второго фильма и на ДВД хватит. А вот комменты именно для этих фильмов всегда были очень интересные и прикольные. Особенно к первому с Милкой. 'Йогурт!'
