Starship Troopers (US BD) in August
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Starship Troopers on 5th August 2008. Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi action film charts the lives of elite members of the Mobile Infantry, a corps of dedicated young men and women soldiers fighting side-by-side in the ultimate intergalactic war... the battle to save humankind. The enemy is mysterious and incredibly powerful with only one mission: survival of their species no matter what the human cost.

Beetlejuice (US BD) in September
Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Beetlejuice (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) on 16th September 2008 priced at $34.99 SRP. The colourful, wildly imaginative family adventure from Tim Burton starring Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder debuts on Blu-ray, newly remastered and packaged in a lenticular o-sleeve. Extras are somewhat limited however with only three Beetlejuice cartoons from the TV series which was produced by Burton and David Geffen.

Blu-ray Transformers is Coming!
The folks at TVShowsonDVD.com have the inside scoop on one of the biggest blockbuster hits of last year finally making its way to Blu-ray. According to their sources, 'Transformers' will finally be arriving for Blu-ray on September 2nd. The release is expected to mirror the previous HD DVD release (minus the glitches, of course).
