Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a weird rumor. From a website called ContactMusic.com comes the word that noneother than Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are wanting to appear together again in the remake of Western Classic, BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID, with Damon in the Robert Redford role of The Sundance Kid and Affleck slipping into Paul Newman's Butch Cassidy boots.
Apрагеntly the rumor repeated on the ContactMusic site started at OK! Magazine, which pretty much makes this total BS. It's an interesting thought, though. It's certainly possible for Hollywood to redo this flick considering THE WILD BUNCH is in the remake meat-grinder at the moment. I'd personally rather see Damon and Affleck team up in an original western and not touch the original, but what do you folks think?
