Статус: offline 		Тема конечно нужная, но у нас же уже есть подобная, даже две. Я не против переехать сюда, конечно, так как другие не очень правильно названы, первая из них изначально вообще была о противостоянии двух форматов.

Насчет Риддика, я только его купил на Р2 ДВД. Ну ладно хоть это не комбо, а то бы точно расстроился.

Ближайшие покупки с wish list'a HD форматов должны быть комбо варианты того самого Фонтана и Children of Men.

Статус: offline 		Universal Studios Home Video have announced two waves of US HD DVD catalogue titles for June 2007. Wave 1 is due on the 12th and includes: Born on the Fourth of July, Bruce Almighty, Daylight, Liar, Liar, Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life and Sneakers.

Waves 2 follows two weeks later on the 26th and includes: American Me, Being John Mclkovich, Bulletproof, Mallrats, Meet Joe Black, Mystery Men and The Watcher.

All are presented on HD30 dual-layer discs (except for Liar, Liar, Bulletproof and The Watcher which use HD15 single-layer discs) and feature 1080P Widescreen transfers, English Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 Surround audio and optional English SDH and French subtitles. French audio options are also present on every title either in 5.1 (Bruce Almighty, Liar, Liar, Being John Malkovich, Meet Joe Black and The Watcher) or 2.0 (all the others).

All extras from the standard definition DVD releases are expected to be ported over. Retail is $29.98 SRP each.

Только DDPlus? A хде Dolby True HD или какой нибудь Uncompressed PCM?
Что, на 'старые' фильмы такой не надо? И разве мною перечисленные такие уж старые? Им лет десять. Цена хорошая, но еще надо ревью изображения почитать будет.

Да, при MSPR $30 они точно везде будут максимум по 20 баксов.

Кстати сейчас все HD релизы стоят столько. Только комбо на 10 дороже.

Статус: offline 		Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD release of The Road Warrior (aka Mad Max 2) for 8th May 2007. Priced at $28.99 SRP this title comes to both HD formats simultaneously with boasting new exclusive-to-hi-def extras. The Road Warrior uses BD25 and HD30 discs and is presented in 1080P 2.40:1 Widescreen with English 5.1, French and Spanish 2.0 audio and English, French and Spanish subtitles. Exclusive to these HD releases is a new commentary by Director George Miller and Cinematographer Dean Semler, an introduction by Leonard Maltin and the original trailer. As with all of Warner’s releases the Blu-ray Disc releases use Dolby Digital audio while the HD DVD releases use Dolby Digital Plus (both at 640kbps).

Что ж, Хрюша тянул, тянул в покупкой Mad Max'ов и похоже дотянул-таки. Осталось подождать еще чуть-чуть и наверное взять HD-релиз.

Да, раньше нигде в мире никаких бонусов ко второму фильму не было, наконец сподобились хотя бы на комментарий. Но хотелось бы больше, как для первого фильма на ДВД.

А главное, грамотно формат проталкиваю. Двухсторонние диски ДВД+ХДДВД.

Статус: offline 		Пока мне еще почему то не пришла посылка в которой должен быть мой первый HD-DVD/DVD Combo, в местной Сфере появилось штук 8 Blu-ray'ев и 3 HD-DVD по более-менее нормальным для них ценам в 944 и 1144 за каждый. Ну, они ведь продают Р1 DVD за столько же, помню у них был Collateral за столько а сейчас лежат никому не нужные за такие деньги Addams Family, The Beach, etc, когда их можно по 5-10 долларов купить.

Статус: offline 		Круто, но всё то же самое, получается вместо 10 ДВД - 5 двухсторонних HD-DVD. 120 рекомендуемая, значит где то 80 долларов со скидкой в магазинах будет, однако я покупал ДВД версию всего за 35, так что ладно, не жалко, но апгрейдать придется.

Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD release of two John Wayne classics on 5th June 2007. Celebrating the Duke’s 100th birthday a little later in high definition Warner brings you Rio Bravo and The Cowboys to both HD formats two weeks after the Special Edition DVD releases debut.

Priced at $28.99 SRP each details follow…

Rio Bravo - Rio Bravo will feature a new digital transfer from restored picture and audio elements. Presented on a BD50 Blu-ray Disc and HD30 HD DVD features are TBC but should match the new Special Edition DVD release and offer the following extras:
  • Remastered feature film
  • Commentary by John Carpenter and Richard Schickel (Renowned director Carpenter and film critic Schickel explore how this legendary Western was an extension of Hawks’ own personality and why it’s considered such an influential classic today)
  • Wayne trailer gallery
  • The Men Who Made the Movies: Howard Hawks (1973 documentary)
  • Two All New Featurettes:
    • Commemoration: Howard Hawks’ Rio Bravo
    • Old Tucson: Where the Legends Walked

A tantalizing promotional insert included in the French Blu-ray release of 'Spider-Man 2.5' includes the first official mention of a Blu-ray release date for 'Spider-Man 3.'
While the release date indicated in the advert -- "Le 2 Novembre 2007" -- obviously refers to the planned French release for the disc, such a date would certainly make sense as a target for worldwide release, given the film's theatrical debut four months earlier.


Blu-ray fans on this side of the Atlantic have been chomping at the bit for any news of a Stateside release for the 'Spider-Man' films ever since the format launched last year. The Spidey movies are considered one of the "holy grails" for high-def release, but so far, Sony has remained mum on any domestic release plans.
Though the studio continues to tease us with preview spots on their most recent Blu-ray releases, including 'Casino Royale' and 'The Pursuit of Happyness,' there has been no official U.S. release date announced for any of the 'Spider-Man' films. Many expected at least the first film in the series to debut on Blu-ray to coincide with the May 3 theatrical bow of 'Spider-Man 3,' but now -- if the flyer is any hint -- it looks like the soonest we may get Spidey in high-def is later this year.
At presstime, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has not yet returned calls for comment.
