Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Terminator – The Sarah Connor Chronicles: The Complete First Season on 19th August 2008 priced at $39.99 SRP. This new chapter in the Terminator franchise is set after the events of the second film and follows Sarah Connor (Lena Headey) as she prepares her son John Connor (Thomas Dekker) to fight the war against machines determined to annihilate the human race. Joining them in the fight is Summer Glau as a new female Terminator sent back in time.

Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Smallville Season 7 on 9th September 2008 priced at $79.98 SRP. The adventures of a young Superman continue with Season 7 in this popular series.
Episodes are spread across three-discs presented in 1080P widescreen with English 5.1 audio. Extras include two featurettes – “Supergirl” and “Jimmy on Jimmy” – and “Smallville Legends” Mobisodes with more possibly TBC.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Starship Troopers on 5th August 2008. Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi action film charts the lives of elite members of the Mobile Infantry, a corps of dedicated young men and women soldiers fighting side-by-side in the ultimate intergalactic war... the battle to save humankind. The enemy is mysterious and incredibly powerful with only one mission: survival of their species no matter what the human cost.

Beetlejuice (US BD) in September
Warner Home Video have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Beetlejuice (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) on 16th September 2008 priced at $34.99 SRP. The colourful, wildly imaginative family adventure from Tim Burton starring Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder debuts on Blu-ray, newly remastered and packaged in a lenticular o-sleeve. Extras are somewhat limited however with only three Beetlejuice cartoons from the TV series which was produced by Burton and David Geffen.
